The Glenwood Roller Rink

Formerly located at 656 Holbrook Rd, Glenwood, IL—was a beloved local community staple. Closed in April 2025 due to structural damage (primarily roof issues), the rink was purchased by Curtis and Ramona Pouncy, the owners of The Rink in Chicago. It is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to reopen under new ownership

While the Glenwood location is temporarily closed for repairs, local skaters still have several nearby options for indoor roller skating:

• Tinley Park Roller Rink: Located about 16 miles west at 17845 S 80th Ave in Tinley Park, IL. It is operated by the Quitter family and features classic open skating and events.

  
  

• Lynwood Roller Rink: Located about 8 miles southeast at 2030 Glenwood-Dyer Rd, Lynwood, IL. Known as the home of the movie Roll Bounce, it offers skate lessons, parties, and open skating.
